Andrew Bird

I'd just like to point out a few things I noticed about this guy because I really love his music. A lot of his lyrics have science themes, usually biology or chemistry. It's really weird that he has a fascination with that because I would listen to his songs and every now and then there would be a reference to calcium, carbon, neurons, etc. There is something about the way he uses the violin in his songs that is different from the way other artists use it, I think it's because he relies more on it as a central instrument to his songs than other bands do. I guess that's what makes it sound so good because he uses the violin not as a backup instrument so it puts more emphasis on it and I otherwise would probably not have paid so much attention to it. He comes to Toronto on April 3rd and I wish someone actually listened to his music so they could go with me (hint: start listening to his music, it's amazing).
