La Familia
It's a beautiful thing to watch your family grow up. I'm not talking about my immediate family but my cousins, particularly the younger ones. It's so interesting to see how they grow up, who they become, what kind of people their parents bring them up to be, etc. I remember how my younger cousins used to be when they were babies, toddlers, children, etc. They aren't your immediate family so you don't see them everyday but when you do you can see them changing. As I mentioned, some people for better and some for worse but when you are a young teen (13-16) you are just trying to find yourself and fit in. That's why I think some of my cousins are going through phases and it's so funny to see them cause I've been through those same phases. They are going to grow up and think, "wow, I was kind of lame" and that's inevitable. Now that my younger cousins have Facebook I always check up on them, see what they're up to and the like. I was just looking at their Facebook profiles and one cousin in particular made me smile because he's the one I've known since he was born and the one I saw the most growing up as a child. They are all growing up and becoming their own people and it just hit me and I'm so happy for them to start finding out who they are (albeit not the best age of your life) and really living and learning. Hopefully they'll grow up to realize living and learning doesn't stop once they are not a teenager anymore.
