Chad VanGaalen is a Canadian musician from Calgary, Alberta. I've been listening to his 2008 album Soft Airplane now for quite some time and I really enjoy it. He infuses folk with electronic beats and produces a very interesting mix of songs that can be listened to when you are relaxing by yourself or getting ready to party with your friends. His album Soft Airplane made the long list for the Polaris Music Prize in 2009. He does a number of animations for music videos including one for the Holy Fuck song Milkshake as well as for his own music videos. Here is one of the more bizarre animation videos he created for his song Molten Light from the album Soft Airplane.
